<![CDATA[´╗┐Thank You Mike Woods for Your Support of the Arts]]>Thu, 28 Jan 2016 13:29:45 GMThttp://unionct.net/news/thank-you-mike-woods-for-your-support-of-the-artsUnion Community Theatre received news last month of the passing of Mike Woods. Mike passed away on December 3, 2015. We are deeply saddened and would like to share our heartfelt thoughts for the Woods family and friends as they grieve the loss of their loved one. Mike is credited with being one of the founding members of Union Community Theatre. In 2009, he united members Amanda Emmons-Shumate, Karen Franxman and Lindsey Huffaker in an endeavor that would lead to the founding of our little community theatre, which has grown to become a theatrical world for many community members. If it weren’t for Mike’s love of theatre, UCT would never have become a reality. On behalf of the entire UCT membership, we thank Mike for his commitment to theatre and his love of supporting the arts everywhere he went. He touched many lives, ours included.]]><![CDATA[NKY Magazine 2015]]>Thu, 28 Jan 2016 13:28:32 GMThttp://unionct.net/news/nky-magazine-2015Check out UCT and other great NKY theaters in this nice article! <![CDATA[UCT Has a New Home!]]>Thu, 04 Jun 2015 01:33:34 GMThttp://unionct.net/news/uct-has-a-new-homeUnion Community Theatre is proud to announce our new temporary home with the Boone County Fiscal Courts! UCT lost their venue this spring when the City of Union was unable to provide the necessary upgrades to the Community Building to allow it to continue to be used as a community center. UCT was forced to find a new home! But have no fear! We are working with the Boone County Fiscal courts to bring awesome theatre to NKY, Boone County and the Burlington area! We are excited to produce our next Youth Program show - High School Musical Jr. at the historical Boone County Court House in Burlington! If all goes well with the trial run, and the building needs are addressed, this could even be a long term home for us. We are happy to be in such a welcoming community who are looking to support the arts! Stay tuned for ticket sale information! We would love all the love and support we can get as we open the next chapter of our artistic journey!
